I was inspired to make an impact on student teaching. I learned that explaining concepts in a developmentally appropriate way expands knowledge of concepts and comprehension skills. The challenge I faced is that the class group is multi-age, so it can be difficult to find an activity that is intriguing to all. The result was that children, even as young as two-years-old began showing an understanding of the lesson plan. Older children could apply the knowledge to outside experiences.
