For my job as a Behavioral Therapist for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, I had to obtain a legal safety care certification. This certification ensures I can keep myself, and others safe during dangerous behaviors people with autism may exhibit. This training using anatomically safe practices, that are created to not harm the dangerous individual. They can be used to deescalate situations and protect people. Safety Care is protected by law in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, which I am in.
